Studio Architects was commissioned to produce a Feasibility Study for Windows Art Centre, to show how it might be possible to provide improved access, improved refreshment areas, a new entrance, and generally revitalise the building.
Our proposals exploited the adjoining burial ground as a park, with a new landscaped area directing attention towards a new entrance. This extension, would provide level access, a lift lobby, and access down to an enlarged restaurant. These ideas all met with the support of the Conservation Department, Bath and Wells Diocese, and the Archaeological Society.
The Study was also followed by a separate Access Audit.
